My name is Sara Butler, and this is my sixth school year teaching. I have enjoyed teaching different grade levels and content areas, including fourth and fifth grades. Currently, I teach third grade and cannot imagine a more exciting and enthusiastic age group; nor being at a school more dedicated to putting our students and families first! I feel blessed to have been able to stay at the same school, in Kansas City, Missouri, for the past six years of my teaching career. I have had a fast and busy school year (with limited sleep), to continue my love for learning. I am committed to growth and ongoing education, which sometimes requires us all to venture on the path of the unknown, and out of our comfort zone. I have attended and completed excellent PD math, writing, and behavior management workshops, while participating in a few school committees, and working on my Master’s Degree in Education and Instructional Coaching. The amount of effective resources, instructional planning, differentiated instructional implementation, and structure of classroom management I have learned throughout my Master’s program has been priceless!
